Dianetta Dye is a Detroit native and Wayne State graduate with a Bachelor of Fine Art in Printmaking and Mixed Media. Dye’s works have been featured in the Charles H. Wright Museum of, Cranbrook Art Museum, MOCAD, the California African American Museum (Los Angeles), the National Center of Afro-American Artists (Roxbury, MA), and The Du Sable Museum (Chicago).
Her most recent works include mixed media collage and doll making. Her works intend to explore the connections to ancestors, an affinity to the Hue-man Condition, and desire to promote Good JuJu.
“I have always wanted to be an artist. Messing around with random objects and mediums seeing what would turn up is an exercise that continues to bring me great joy. I realized I was a maker early on in my life and have always nurtured my abilities with little restriction."
