Michael Horner is a Detroit musician, hairstylist, and artist who has painted original works for over 50 years. He started painting at the age of 7 and gained recognition in his community by exhibiting his works. Several life experiences have shaped Michael as an artist. He is one of twelve children raised by a loving single mother on Detroit’s eastside. After his brother’s murder, Michael stopped painting for five years. He picked up the paintbrush again after his family members gifted him several canvases.
